The Composers Showcase of Las Vegas is an entertainment forum that allows local and visiting composers, lyricists and songwriters the opportunity to present original material to a supportive audience in an informal cabaret-style setting. The Showcase is hosted by Broadway veteran, Keith Thompson. Our focus is on providing a platform for writers to showcase their original music while uniting the Theatre, Music and Arts communities of Las Vegas and revealing the creative spirit that abounds in all of us who strive for artistic expression. We also attempt to laugh a lot and have a great time.
We are not an “open-mic” showcase. We carefully plan each presentation, screening composers and material, in order to provide the best and highest quality entertainment, while being respectful of our artists and our audiences as well as our host venue.
Since March 28th, 2012, we have been presenting our showcase at “Myron’s Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts,” a beautiful 240-seat cabaret venue in the Smith Center’s Boman Pavilion in Downtown Las Vegas. Tickets are available at the door, by phone or online.
The exact date of the showcase may vary from month to month. Those interested in being on our e-mail data base for monthly notification of the schedule, as well as composers wishing to present at the showcase, should CLICK HERE to contact us.
We appreciate the loyalty and support of our audiences and we look forward to bringing many more presentations of the Composers Showcase to Las Vegas to help lift and maintain the high standards of our musical, theatrical and artistic community. In 2017 we became a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity and we can now accept tax-deductible contributions from donors and sponsors who wish to support our efforts so that we can increase our footprint in the local community and our outreach into the global community.
